At one time domestic sheep were very common in Minnesota. There still are a few small flocks that dot the landscape. On one of my early morning walks in the rolling hills the sun was just making its appearance bringing the fragile colors of the hills and trees alive. The contrasting shapes and the sheep moving out to pasture make for a very attractive painting.
