The South Dakota Badlands continue to be an inspiration for me as a painter. I find the forms and colors of this ancient land to be fascinating. Cattle and horse ranchers of the past must of seen parts of this land as virtually useless. Much of the land is dry and grass barren. The Castles area is a mixture of grass and none grassland. It’s beautiful in its own way.
