Wildflowers are my favorite flowers for their expression of freedom with unadulterated beauty. Of the wildflowers, orchids are at the top of my list. I was walking in the deep woods of northern Minnesota when I come upon the patch of yellow moccasins you see in the oil painting above. There was nothing more important at the time then to stop, soak in the beauty and feel the solitude.
