The Pine Ridge of South Dakota is a landscape of ravines and ridges. Hardwoods in the ravines, pine trees on the ridges and grasses in-between. It is also a place with a history stretching back several hundred years when millions of buffalo grazed the land. Going back further yet when prehistoric creatures roamed the land before the buffalo.
